PAK vs BAN, Asia Cup 2023 Super 4: Haris Rauf, Imam-ul Haq shine as Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets
Pakistan beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in the Super 4 match at the Asia Cup in Lahore on Wednesday. They did a great job in every aspect of the game.
Imam-ul-Haq and Mohammad Rizwan were the best batsmen. They led Pakistan to their goal of 194 runs in just 39.3 overs with their skill. Rizwan stayed unbeaten with 63 runs off of 79 balls, and Imam added a strong 78 runs off of 84 balls.
For the third wicket, they scored 74 runs together, which changed the course of the game. Unfortunately, Pakistan's captain Babar Azam didn't do much with the bat, and Taskin Ahmed got rid of him after 22 balls for 17 runs.
In the beginning of the game, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah showed how good they were at bowling by breaking up the Bangladesh batting order. Bangladesh was only able to score 193 runs in 38.4 overs, thanks to good defence from Pakistan.
Rauf was the best bowler for Pakistan. In just six overs, he got four wickets. Naseem Shah wasn't too far behind. In 5.4 overs, he took three wickets.
Even though Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim both made 50 runs and added 100 runs together for the fifth wicket, the rest of the Bangladesh batters had a hard time with the fast pace of the Pakistani bowlers.
Shakib was finally out after scoring 53 runs off of 57 balls, and Mushfiqur was caught behind the stumps after getting 64 runs off of 87 balls.
