Asia Cup 2023: KL Rahul Set To Join Team India In Sri Lanka, Clears All Fitness Tests

Asia Cup 2023: KL Rahul Set To Join Team India In Sri Lanka, Clears All Fitness Tests

KL Rahul, a star Indian batter, thanked the staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) for how they took care of him before he rejoined the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2023.

KL Rahul has passed all of the fitness tests, so he is ready to play in the Asia Cup Super Four stage. Rahul went on X (which used to be Twitter) to thank BCCI and NCA after passing all of the fitness tests.

Ishan Kishan has been playing in his place for the first two games. When he gets to Sri Lanka, it will be interesting to see if he gets a chance or not.

"I'm thinking back on the last few months, which have been full of obstacles and lessons. The road has taught me a lot.

Thanks to Nitin sir, Yogesh sir, Rajini sir, Dhananjay bhai, Shalini, and everyone else at the NCA for their hard work and dedication to helping me get back on the ground. Dr. Rahul Patel and his team at London's Wellington Hospital deserve special thanks for how well the operation went.

Last but not least, I want to thank the BCCI for their constant support and faith," Rahul wrote on Instagram.

Rahul will not be able to play in the Asia Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan on September 2 in Kandy, Sri Lanka. At a news conference, Team India coach Rahul Dravid said that KL Rahul is doing well with the niggle he got after recovering from his injury and will be under the care of the National Cricket Academy (NCA) until September 4.

"KL Rahul had a good week with us, and he's making great work on the route we want to take. However, he won't be able to join us for the first part of the Kandy leg of the trip. He will be taken care of by the NCA while we are away.

We'll look at him again on September 4 and decide what to do then. "There are good signs, and he is making great progress," Dravid said.

Group A has Pakistan, India, and Nepal. Group B has Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The event will have a hybrid structure. Pakistan will host four games at two different locations, and Sri Lanka will host the other games.
