Former Pak Captains Misbah, Inzamam And Hafeez Appointed To PCB's Cricket Technical Committee

A high-profile Cricket Technical Committee (CTC) comprised of former Pakistan captains Misbah-ul-Haq (chairman), Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Mohammad Hafeez was established, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Wednesday.
The Misbah-led committee has been given extensive authority, which essentially covers all aspect of Pakistani cricket.
"The CTC will provide recommendations on cricket-related matters, including, but not limited to, the overall domestic structure, scheduling, playing conditions, appointment of the national selection committees, appointment of national team coaches, central and domestic contracts, and plans for the development of umpires, referees, and curators," according to a statement from the PCB.
The CTC will have the authority to invite other cricket experts, and it will also be required to submit regular reports to the chairman of the PCB Management Committee.
Zaka Ashraf, the chairperson of the PCB Management Committee, stated that three former captains have extensive understanding of cricket and will assist the organisation in giving their cricketers the ideal environment to succeed.
"I'm thrilled to have Misbah-ul-Haq, Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Mohammad Hafeez join us in advancing cricket in our nation. These three previous captains are very knowledgeable about the game of cricket and are aware of the needs of contemporary cricket, according to Ashraf.
"Any cricketing nation's domestic cricket infrastructure is its foundation. We must make it impenetrable and with a progressive framework. We will be able to give our cricketers the finest environment to grow in so that we can develop the best cricketers thanks to the presence of Misbah, Inzamam, and Hafeez, three of Pakistan's most seasoned and distinguished cricketers who rose through the domestic ranks," he added.
The most successful Test captain for Pakistan, though, Misbah, described his selection as the committee's head as a "great honour" and a "challenging assignment."
It is a huge honour for me to be chosen as the chairman of this committee, which is made up of reputable people who have contributed to Pakistan cricket for decades, he added.
This is a difficult task, but given the committee's depth of expertise and experience, he continued, "I have no doubt at all that we will be able to make a difference by offering recommendations that improve and enhance the state of the game from the very bottom up.
The PCB further stated that Usman Tasleem is the ex-officio secretary and Junaid Zia, the acting director of domestic cricket operations, has been added as an ex-officio member of the CTC.
