On Saturday, August 26, India's women's blind cricket team defeated Australia in the final of the ISBA World Games 2023 to win a gold medal.

In a T20 encounter at England's Edgbaston, the Indian women's team defeated mighty Australia by nine wickets using the DLS system.

Now, the Women in Blue have added to India's pride by winning a gold medal on the world stage with a dominant and stunning all-around performance.

While batting first, Australia only scored 115 runs for eight wickets. Lewis hit 29 runs off 28 balls, while Webeck top-scored with an unbeaten 30 runs off 26 balls to help Australia reach a tough total.

Meanwhile, when India began their chase, the game was interrupted by rain. India lost opener Neelappa for eight runs, but Deepika hit 18* off 11 balls to put 43 runs on the board in 3.3 overs when the game was called off due to rain.
