ICC World Cup 2023: Pakistan unveil new jersey for the mega event ahead of Asia Cup
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) revealed the 'Star Nation' shirt on Monday, just days after Pakistan surpassed Australia as the world's top ODI squad. The new jersey was introduced at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore at a ceremony.
Zaka Ashraf, Chairman of the PCB Management Committee, presided over the ceremony. The team is preparing for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 as well as the Asia Cup 2023.
"The Star Nation Jersey represents more than just a piece of clothing; it embodies the profound bond between Pakistan's cricketing heroes and their ardent supporters." Each star, inspired by heavenly bodies, represents brilliance, aspiration, and the radiant light of cricketing exploits."

The 'Star Nation' Jersey, according to Zaka Ashraf, pays witness to the "enduring bond between our cricketers and the passionate fans who stand by them through every match." "This jersey encapsulates our rich cricketing heritage as well as the bright future that lies ahead."
The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 India will begin on October 5 in Ahmedabad with a match between defending champions England and runners-up New Zealand from the previous edition.
Pakistan's campaign will begin on October 6 in Hyderabad against the Netherlands. On October 14, Pakistan will face archrival India in Ahmedabad. Apart from Ahmedabad and Chennai, the other cities are Bengaluru, Delhi, Dharamsala, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Pune.
The Cricket World Cup Super League qualified eight teams for the 46-day event, while the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier in Zimbabwe determined the final two berths. The remaining two berths in the competition were won by Sri Lanka and the Netherlands.
The top four teams will advance to the semifinals, which will take held in Mumbai on November 15 and Kolkata on November 16. The final will take place in Ahmedabad on November 19. There will be reserve days for the semi-finals and final.
