IND vs PAK Asia Cup Weather Forecast: Inclement weather looms large over Super Four clash between arch-rivals

IND vs PAK Asia Cup Weather Forecast: Inclement weather looms large over Super Four clash between arch-rivals

The Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2023 has started, and the hosts Pakistan have already won their first game. They beat Bangladesh by seven wickets at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore in a one-sided match.

But everyone is looking forward to the much-anticipated Super Four match between Pakistan and India, which will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Sunday, September 10. Rain is expected, so fans are keeping their fingers crossed and hoping that it doesn't rain during the game.

The organising group is aware that it's going to rain on September 10 and has set aside a backup date in case the game doesn't get finished on that day.

Only the Super Four match between India and Pakistan and the final match will have a spare day. None of the other Super Four matches will have a reserve day.

The game between these two fierce rivals in the group stage was cancelled because of rain, and the weather for Sunday isn't much better. According to Weather.com, there is a 90% chance that it will rain in Colombo on Sunday. Accuweather, which is another service that projects weather, also says that it will be rainy on Sunday.

Accuweather's prediction for Sunday, September 10, also says that there is a 90% chance of rain and a 54% chance of thunderstorms. The weather forecast is not good, and if it turns out to be true, it might not affect the game, but it could make people who got tickets for the high-stakes match less excited.

India hasn't played a match in the Super Four stage yet, and their match on Sunday against the team led by Babar Azam will be their first. Even though only one Super Four game has been played so far, Pakistan is in first place with a Net Run Rate (NRR) of 1.051.
