IND vs WI: India will be tempted to pick Ravi Bishnoi in last two T20Is, Here's why

On Saturday, Team India will be looking to level the five-match T20I series against the West Indies and force a decider.

The Caribbean team is presently leading the series 2-1 and needs only a win to complete the sweep with one game remaining. But, after a polished performance in the third T20I, the Men in Blue appear to be more assured.

Furthermore, they have a good record in Florida, USA, having won their last four matches there.

Exactly a year ago, on August 6 and 7, India and the West Indies faced off at the same site, with India winning both matches. Ravi Bishnoi, India's leg-spinner, was instrumental in both games, as India successfully defended 191 and 188. The Rajasthan leg-spinner took six wickets in two matches a year ago, including a four-wicket haul in one of them.

Bishnoi bowled 6.4 overs in the two matches he played and finished with numbers of 6/43, which is extraordinary for any bowler. This record may entice team management to play the 22-year-old in the series' final two T20Is.

However, the team lineup will have to change in that event, and it is unclear whether Yuzvendra Chahal or Kuldeep Yadav will be benched.

So far, the Kul-Cha duo has performed admirably in three matches, with both players taking four wickets. Bishnoi, on the other hand, was wicketless in the second T20I after replacing Kuldeep.

Axar Patel, another spinner, cannot be dropped because India has exactly seven hitters in their lineup, with no other all-rounder save him and skipper Hardik Pandya.

As of now, it appears like Bishnoi will not play in at least the fourth T20I, but considering his track record, if the team management adapts to the horse for courses policy, the leggie may get an opportunity.
