Kuldeep Yadav: Will remember this night for five wickets against Pakistan even after I stop playing cricket

Star spinner Kuldeep Yadav of Team India, who destroyed Pakistan's batting order in their Super Four match, declared that he will never forget his five-wicket haul against their archrival.

Against Pakistan, Kuldeep performed a masterful job with the ball, taking five wickets in a well-earned effort that helped Team India win by a commanding 228 runs.

"You always keep in mind that you took five wickets against a formidable team. I will never forget that I took five wickets against Pakistan when I finish playing cricket. This is significant because it inspires you much to do well against teams that play terrific spin," Kuldeep stated at the news conference following the game.

Rain on Sunday caused much of the play to be abandoned, extending the highly anticipated Super Four match between India and Pakistan at the Asia Cup into Monday.

"Playing gets a little challenging when rain interrupts the game. In order to play, players must constantly be prepared if the circumstances permit. Everyone was eager to start and finish the game. All I could think about was bowling for a long time. I think it's more necessary to concentrate on rhythm and to be a little more forceful," Kuldeep continued.

"Since the injury, the rhythm has gotten more forceful and the run-up more straight. I was out of commission for five months following surgery, so everything was really difficult for me. I'm rather pleased with how I performed. My first ninety-six months have been great; I was not considering my starting eleven. just having fun while bowling. The spinner stated, "I have been focusing on length since it is very important.

Entering the game, India defeated their longtime adversary Pakistan by 228 runs thanks to scorching hundreds from KL Rahul and Virat Kohli and a five-wicket haul from Kuldeep Yadav at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Monday.

With Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf opting not to bat in Pakistan's chase, Kuldeep claimed his second five-for in an ODI as India secured a commanding 228-run victory. India secured the top spot in the Asia Cup 2023 Super 4s table with their decisive win.

Earlier, in their Asia Cup Super Four match against archrivals Pakistan, India won 356/2 because to a vintage performance from Virat Kohli and an unrestrained century from KL Rahul.

The half-centuries by captain Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill set the stage for India, and Rahul's unbeaten 233-run stand with Kohli put the cherry on top as the former captain concluded the innings with a maximum.

With 94 deliveries and an undefeated score of 122, Kohli concluded his innings, while Rahul struck a blistering 111 off 106 balls.
