The India Capitals and Bhilwara Kings announced player retention for the upcoming Legends League Cricket season on Wednesday. The franchisee season, which will feature a player pool of more than 200, will take place in five Indian cities: Ranchi, Dehradun, Jammu, Vizag, and Surat. Legends League Cricket's second season, which will consist of 19 games, is scheduled to begin on November 18 and run through December 9.

According to the Legends League Cricket retention policy, each team may keep up to three players. Additionally, the remaining player pool may be used by the new teams to acquire a maximum of three players. The final regulation of the policy stipulates that, in the event that a team acquires fewer than three players, they will be entitled to select the remaining player or players from the pool following the acquisition of players by the new teams.

The GMR Group-owned India Capitals, the reigning champions, have kept their captain Gautam Gambhir and their top wicket-taker from the previous campaign, Pravin Tambe, to bolster their lineup. Irfan Pathan, the captain of the LNJ Bhilwara Group's Bhilwara Kings, the runners-up from the previous season, has remained with the team. They have also kept Shane Watson and Yusuf Pathan, the Player of the Series, as star players.

The complete player pool and draught event dates for the upcoming season will be announced shortly by the organisers. Some of the biggest names in cricket are probably going to be in season two of the league's franchise model.

"The game is getting bigger every day at Legends League Cricket," stated Ravi Shastri, Commissioner of Legends League Cricket. We need to keep the fire going and give fans the opportunity to see the best competitive cricket across the new venues as more and more players join. This season, Legends will definitely be amazing, in my opinion.
