Missed Out On 'India vs Pakistan' Tickets For October 14 WC Clash In Ahmedabad? Here's How One Can Still Avail Them

On October 14, the entire world will be watching as India takes on Pakistan in Ahmedabad. The Men in Blue have defeated the Black Caps seven times in ODI World Cup play.
14,000 seats will be made available by the Board of Cricket Council India (BCCI) for the much awaited India vs. Pakistan League encounter on October 14 in Ahmedabad.
The match's ticket sales are set to begin on October 8, 2023, at 12 PM IST.
There had been concerns regarding the crowd's attendance in the stadium following the 2023 World Cup opening games due to the lack of fans. Narendra Modi Stadium was only partially full for the inaugural game on Thursday between the 2019 tournament winners, New Zealand, and the defending champions, England.
The BCCI has had difficulties in the run-up to the World Cup before. Shortly before the competition, the BCCI changed the dates of up to nine matches, which confused spectators and other stakeholders.
The schedule for the 2023 World Cup was first made public on June 27, around a hundred days before the competition got underway. In contrast, the 2018 World Cup schedule was revealed more than a year in advance. Additional scheduling revisions were made in response to concerns raised by different hosting associations regarding match conflicts with other significant events taking place in the host cities.
Less than two months before the tournament's opening match, set for October 5, the final fixture list was changed on August 9.
Next came the announcement that tickets for games outside of India would be made available to Mastercard holders on August 24 and to the general public on the following day. Tickets for the India match could be purchased by supporters "both with and without Mastercard" from August 29 to September 3.
The BCCI revealed on September 6 that an additional 400,000 tickets will be available for purchase for every match; this information was not previously disclosed. It further stated that ticket buyers will receive notification when tickets go on sale in the upcoming phase, but it did not specify when this would happen, which only served to exacerbate the already poor World Cup planning.
After several complaints about long lines for online tickets and the first website crash, Bookmyshow decided to distribute more tickets for the tournament.
On October 14, all eyes will be on Ahmedabad when India takes on Pakistan. In their seven meetings during the ODI World Cup, the Men in Blue have emerged victorious each time.
Pakistan will be hoping for their first World Cup victory since 1992, while Rohit Sharma's team will be trying to win the third World Cup for India.
