No Axar, Team India touch down in Guwahati with Ashwin ahead of World Cup warmup
The left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder was injured during India’s game against Bangladesh at the Asia Cup, and has been recuperating at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.

Today The Indian team has arrived in Guwahati for the warm-up games for the World Cup. A huge crowd of fans cheered for the Indian team as they left the airport. There was some doubt about Axar Patel's availability for the 2023 World Cup, so Ravichandran Ashwin went to Guwahati with the Men in Blue. He was part of India's ODI team for the Australia series.

Hardik Pandya and Shubman Gill will join the rest of the Indian team later today. Before they play Australia in their first World Cup game, Team India will play two warm-up games.

The Men in Blue will play England in Guwahati on September 30, and on October 3, they will go to Thiruvananthapuram for their last warm-up game against the Netherlands.

The English team, which is led by Jos Buttler, will arrive in Mumbai today and get to Guwahati by midnight. It was said that the Indian and English cricket teams will both stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel.

Ashwin will take Axar's place in the World Cup team?

Ravichandran Ashwin, a veteran spin bowler, has gone to Guwahati with Team India to play in warm-up games for the World Cup. Also, Team India is worried about injuries before the 2023 World Cup. All-rounder Axar Patel hurt his hand and couldn't play in the three ODIs between India and Australia.

R. Ashwin was in the squad, and he played well in the first two ODIs, which led to rumours that he might be picked for India's final World Cup group.

Rahul Dravid, Team India's head coach, said that the 15-person World Cup team is not likely to change.

"We need to wait for more information or a decision on that." The NCA is in touch with the judges and Ajit (Agarkar), so I won't say anything about that. "If there are any changes, you will hear about them." Rahul Dravid said, "Right now, there are no changes."
