'One Strikes the Ball Like a Rocket Fire, The Other Launches it to the Orbit': See Rishabh Pant Meets Sunil Chhetri

'One Strikes the Ball Like a Rocket Fire, The Other Launches it to the Orbit': See Rishabh Pant Meets Sunil Chhetri

Rishabh Pant will be badly missed as India preparations for the Asia Cup 2023 and the ensuing 50-over World Cup.

The keeper-batter has been recovering from injuries sustained in a horrible vehicle accident last year at the National Cricket Academy.

According to the BCCI medical team, Pant has shown signs of improvement but has yet to restore full fitness and return to the pitch. Every day, he goes through physical routines and trains in the nets.

Pant's social media profile has grown in tandem with his rehabilitation progress. The cricketer has been sharing images and videos with his followers to keep them up to date on his condition.

His IPL outfit, Delhi Capitals, published a photo of him with Indian football captain Sunil Chhetri on Thursday. Both athletes are handled by the JSW organisation, which also owns the Delhi-based Indian Premier League (IPL) team.

The energetic keeper-batter has begun batting practise after a video of him batting in a local competition went popular on social media.

The video of Pant smashing the ball went viral on the microblogging site X, now known as Twitter, as fans were overjoyed to see the flamboyant batter back on the pitch.

Pant has been healing at a faster rate, according to the BCCI, and has begun wicketkeeping and batting in the nets.

"Pant has made significant progress in his rehabilitation and has begun batting and net keeping." "He is currently following a fitness programme tailored to his needs, which includes strength, flexibility, and running," according to the BCCI report.
