Pakistan News: Pakistan cricket legend Shahid Afridi's sister passes away

Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi announced the news of his sister's passing on Tuesday.

Afridi turned to social media to share the news that his sister was fighting for her life in a hospital. The retired cricketer changed his travel plans due to her health condition.

Afridi returned to visit his ailing sister, but sadly, she passed away. On social media, Afridi also announced the location and time of his sister's funeral.

Indeed, we belong to Allah and it is to Him that we shall ultimately return. With heavy hearts, we regretfully inform you of the passing of our beloved sister.

The Namaz e Janazah (funeral prayer) will be held on 17.10.2023, following the Zuhur prayer, at Zakariya Masjid located on the main 26th street of Khayaban e Ghalib in DHA.

Earlier, the Pakistani cricket legend expressed, "I will be returning soon to see you, my love. Stay strong.

" My sister is currently in a critical condition, and I kindly ask for your prayers for her recovery. Your support would be greatly appreciated. May Allah grant her a swift recovery and bless her with a long and healthy life, Ya Rabb.

After the tragedy, numerous fans expressed their condolences to the cricketer through social media.
