'Grand show by our cricket team': PM Modi congratulates Harmanpreet and Co. for Asian Games gold

India's women's cricket team won the gold medal at the Asian Games on Monday, and Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised them.
On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated India's women's cricket team on their Asian Games gold medal victory. Modi also congratulated the men's 10m air rifle team for earning the gold medal at the Olympics and praised the performance of other medalists and athletes.
"What a magnificent performance by our women's cricket team as they win gold at the Asian Games. "The nation celebrates their extraordinary accomplishment," he said.
With their talent, tenacity, skill, and teamwork, our daughters also maintain the tricolour flying high in the sporting arena. "Congratulations on your tremendous victory," he continued.
Lauding the gold-winning air rifle team, he said, "Our fantastic shooters from the 10m Air Rifle Men's Team, Rudrankksh Patil, Divyansh Panwar, and Aishwary Pratap Tomar have won the gold in truly awe inspiring manner as they did so while shattering the world record."
He congratulated the champions on their extraordinary display of skill and determination and wished that they would continue to achieve greater heights.
He congratulated the men's quadruple sculls team of Satnam Singh, Parminder Singh, Sukhmeet, and Jakar Khan on winning the bronze medal, stating that their accomplishment has brought honour to the nation.
He also praised the men's 25m rapid fire pistol team of Anish Bhanwala, Vijayveer Sidhu, and Adarsh Singh for their bronze medal performance.
Aishwary Pratap Tomar earned the bronze medal in the 10m air rifle event. Ashish, Bheem Singh, Jaswinder Singh, and Punit Kumar won the bronze medal in the men's coxless four rowing event.
