Watch as Afghanistan's Naveen-ul-Haq pacer was taunted by Virat Kohli during their 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup match in Dharamsala

A high-profile altercation between Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq and former India captain Virat Kohli occurred earlier this year during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 season. Following an IPL 2023 match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow earlier this year, Naveen and Kohli got into a brawl in which LSG coach Gautam Gambhir also got involved.

Naveen-ul-Haq received half of his match fees back, whilst Gambhir and Kohli received 100% of theirs. In the third match of the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2023, Afghanistan's bowler made his debut in India since the IPL 2023 season, when his team played Bangladesh at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association stadium in Dharamsala on Saturday.
