Record of Most maidens in T20I: Look who is on number 1

Bhuvneshwar Kumar of Team India now holds the record for most maidens in T20I cricket.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar made his T20I debut in December 2012 against Pakistan and has since bowled 10 maiden overs in the shortest format. On November 6, 2022, he delivered the tenth maiden in a T20 World Cup match against Zimbabwe.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has 88 wickets in 83 T20Is, averaging 22.68 and a brilliant economy of 6.96.

The Indian bowler is followed by his countryman Jasprit Bumrah, who has bowled nine maiden overs in 60 games. Bumrah has taken 70 wickets with an outstanding economy and average of 6.62 and 20.22.

Bumrah has already established himself as India's leading fast bowler in his brief international career. The Ahmedabad-born bowler rose to popularity as a result of his distinctive bowling action and reputation for throwing toe-crushing yorkers.

Franco Nsubuga of Uganda ranks third with eight maiden overs. The left-arm off-spinner has a fantastic economy rate of 4.87 in 32 games, with an average of 19.32.

Ghulam Ahmadi of Germany is third on the record of most maidens in T20Is, having bowled seven maidens in 23 matches for the European side. Meanwhile, Bilal Khan of the Oman cricket squad has six maiden overs in 46 T20I matches and 63 T20I wickets at an economy of 6.41.

Former Sri Lanka pacer Nuwan Kulasekara, Bangladesh left-arm fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman, and Canada's Saad Bin Zafar have all bowled their first T20I overs.

While Kulasekara took 66 wickets in 58 T20Is, Rahman has taken 94 wickets in 75 T20Is. Zafar, on the other hand, has 28 wickets in 22 T20Is.

Harbhajan Singh of India, Hasan Ali of Pakistan, and Trent Johnston of Ireland have all bowled five maiden overs in their T20I careers.
