Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours: Qualified Teams, Schedule, Match Timings, Venues & Streaming Details

In a thrilling Group B encounter of the Asia Cup 2023 played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday, September 5, the defending champions Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan by two runs to guarantee their spot in the Super Fours of the competition and send the Afghans home.

The Afghans, led by Rashid Khan, were short of victory by a few runs despite valiant efforts from former captain Mohammad Nabi (65 from 32 balls), captain Hashmatullah Shahidi (59 from 66 balls), Rahmat Shah (45 runs from 40 balls), and Rashid (27 not out from 16 balls).

The Afghans needed to chase down the target of 292 runs in 37.1 overs in order to have a chance of qualifying for the Super Fours.

Archrivals India and Pakistan had already advanced to the next round from Group A, and Shakib Al Hasan's Bangladesh had already qualified for the Super Fours from Group B. With the confirmation of Sri Lanka's spot, the Super Fours schedule was finalised.

The opening game of the Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours is scheduled to take place at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday, September 6, and it will feature the hosts, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

On September 10, India and Pakistan will square off once more; however, this time the game will take place on a Sunday in Colombo. Following the India-Pakistan game, the Men in Blue will play Bangladesh on Friday, September 15, at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, and Sri Lanka on Tuesday, September 12. On Sunday, September 17, 2023, the Asia Cup final will take place at the R. Premadasa Stadium.

Apart from the first match of the Super Fours between Pakistan and Bangladesh, which will take place at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on September 6, the remaining five games will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
