In the first match of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023, defending champions Jamaica Tallawahs face Saint Lucia Kings. Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia, host the match.

Both sides are strong squads. Tallawahs are captained by Brandon King, who recently had a solid effort against the Indians in T20Is.
