'Difficult to Rest Someone After Just One Match': India Coach Hints at Unchanged Playing XI for 3rd T20I

'Difficult to Rest Someone After Just One Match': India Coach Hints at Unchanged Playing XI for 3rd T20I

Sitanshu Kotak the current Team India coach for tour of Ireland, said that there might not be too many changes for the third and final T20I, which will be played on Wednesday. He said that since the first game was cut short by rain, the players have essentially been playing in one game.

India won the first T20I by two runs using the DLS method. The tourists were 47/2 in 6.5 overs and chasing 140 when it started to rain. The game didn't go on.

With a 33-run win in the second match, India took an unbeatable 2-0 lead, making the last game a dead rubber.

"We'll talk about the team in the evening, but if there's a chance we can give them a chance, we will," Kotak told the press the night before the match.

Mukesh Kumar, Avesh Khan, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Jitesh Sharma are the only members of the India team who haven't played a game yet on the tour.

India has sent a young team, led by Jasprit Bumrah, who is back after being away. They gave Rinku Singh his first game, and Jitesh is another player who hasn't played for them yet.

Shahbaz is an all-rounder who has played three ODIs but not a T20I yet. Mukesh, on the other hand, played his first game in all three forms during the West Indies tour.

Avesh hasn't played for his country since October of last year.

"It's a short series, and the first game was kind of like half a game. If we have to give someone a chance, we'll have to drop someone else. It's hard to give someone a break after just one match, Kotak said.

"In a five-game set, we usually try to give everyone a game or two. We only have three games here, and half of one of them had to be cancelled because of rain. It's hard to leave anyone out," he said.

After their trip to Ireland, India will turn their attention to the Asia Cup, which starts on August 30. In Group A, they are in the same group as Pakistan and Nepal.

On September 2, in Pallekele, the team lead by Rohit Sharma will play their first game of the season against Pakistan.
