IND vs NED weather report: Will rain wash out another World Cup 2023 warm-up match in Thiruvananthapuram?

In the second and final warm-up game before to the commencement of the main event of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, India will play the Netherlands. In Guwahati, India's first warm-up match against England washed out, but it seems the weather gods accompany the Men in Blue everywhere they go.

Three games, one outcome, and that too in an unfinished game. Yes, that has been the tale of the Thiruvananthapuram warm-up matches for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.

The two matches at the location, South Africa vs Afghanistan and Australia vs Netherlands, were washed out, and New Zealand won by 7 runs over South Africa thanks to the DLS system in the third game. The encounter between Team India on Tuesday doesn't appear to be particularly bright.

India's first practise match against England was already rained out, and another washout is possible based on the Thiruvananthapuram weather forecast. According to AccuWeather, there is a 97% chance of precipitation during the day on Tuesday, October 3, and a 43% chance of thunderstorms.

As the day goes on, the forecast slightly improves, but oddly, the likelihood of thunderstorms rises as long as there is cloud cover.

The expected range of temperatures is 25 degrees at night and 30 degrees at high.

The only thing separating a washout from a result, with the similar outlook for Monday, October 2, is hope. And even though the rain had a significant influence, the DLS approach nevertheless produced a result.

On Sunday, October 8, India will play their first match of the campaign in Chennai against the five-time winners Australia, hoping to get some playing time. Even though their warm-up match was cut down to a 23-overs-per-side encounter, the Dutch still received some match practise, if only for a few overs, before the rain came again.

The major event takes place on Friday, October 6 in Hyderabad, where the Netherlands will begin their campaign against Pakistan.
