India vs Ireland 2nd T20I Probable XIs: Debut for Jitesh Sharma, or Will Jasprit Bumrah Go With Same Team?

In the second T20I of the ongoing bilateral series, India will face Ireland. Despite the absence of key players such as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the Men in Blue have taken the series lead.

They will be trying to capitalise on their victory to gather momentum ahead of the Asia Cup. The second Twenty20 International between India and Ireland will be played on Sunday, August 20 at the Malahide Cricket Club in Dublin.

Ireland will be trying to rebound from their disappointing World Cup qualifying performance in Zimbabwe.

Ireland lost early wickets in the first T20I, but recovered thanks to a stunning performance from Barry McCarthy, who scored 51 runs in 33 balls.

The Irish batted first and scored 139 runs. Ace India pacer Jasprit Bumrah made his international debut in the first game of the series. He took two wickets in the first game of the series.

Team India won by two runs after chasing a revised total of 46 runs. The men of Jasprit Bumrah are heavy favourites to win the second T20I this weekend. Bumrah was named Man of the Match for his outstanding bowling performance.

He bowled four overs and finished with stats of 2/24. The third Twenty20 International between India and Ireland is set for August 23.

While Jasprit Bumrah's men won the first T20I, it remains to be seen whether the management will tinker with the successful combination to give other youngsters like Jitesh Sharma a chance, or if they will stick with the same team.
