Back again. A cricket match between India and Pakistan is coming up soon. The first game between the two teams in the Asia Cup 2023 was called off after just one side play because of rain.

Even though there is still a chance of rain for this Super 4 match, the weather in Colombo hasn't stopped people from getting excited. This game will playing at the R Premadasa stadium.

Due to the weather, it was said that the Asian Cricket Council wanted to move the Super 4 matches to Hambantota, Sri Lanka. However, the decision was not made until the teams were consulted.

From Pakistan's point of view, their starting XI will stay the same. If the weather is good for swing bowling, Faheem Ashraf might take Mohammad Nawaz's place on the team. If not, the same team should play again like they did against India on September 2.

From India's point of view, adding KL Rahul has made things a lot more interesting. The wicketkeeper and batter went to Sri Lanka on September 5 and started working out right away. On September 7, he had his first practise with Team India, but because it was raining, it was inside.

ESPNcricinfo said that Rahul looked sharp and in control in the nets. He took his turn at bat with players like Shreya Iyer and Hardik Pandya and hit some great cover drives. Rahul also did some running in the nets and took some throwdowns.

Rahul seems to be in good shape, which is good news for India before their match with Pakistan and the ODI World Cup in 2023. Rahul, on the other hand, did not take part in Thursday's wicketkeeping drill, which surprised many people.

So, does that mean Ishan Kishan's spot in the Pakistan match stays the same? At the moment, that seems right.

Since May 2023, Rahul hasn't played cricket in a real game. He recently joined the team. Kishan is already in good shape, and India would gain a lot from having a left-handed batter at No. 5 instead of Rahul.

India should play the same eleven players against Pakistan as they did in the last game at Kandy. Only between Axar Patel and Shardul Thakur could there be a "horses for courses" type of choice.
