In the Asian Games 2023, the Indian women's cricket team defeated Sri Lanka by 19 runs in the final to claim the gold medal. This was the second gold medal that India won in the Asian Games in 2023.

But Hasini Perera and Nilakshi de Silva put up a crucial 36-run partnership to force Sri Lanka back into the contest. Perera scored 25 runs off 22 balls before being removed by Rajeshwari Gayakwad. After scoring 23 runs off 34 deliveries, Vastrakar castled De Silva, who was the next to fall.
As India increased the ante with some outstanding bowling from Deepti Sharma and Devika Vaidya, Oshadi Ranasinghe was the next to fall. In 20 overs, Sri Lanka finished their innings with 97 for 8, but they were still 19 runs short.
With three wickets in four overs and six runs conceded, Sadhu was the best bowler for India. In the ongoing Asian Games 2023, India achieved their second gold medal with this.
