‘Bolne se kuch nahi hota’: Shadab Khan strongly reacts to Ajit Agarkar's 'Virat Kohli will handle' remark

The Asia Cup 2023 will start on August 30, but everyone's attention is on the September 2 match between India and Pakistan, which is a match that everyone is looking forward to. When the Indian team for the Asia Cup was named, Ajit Agarkar, who is in charge of team selection for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), was asked how they plan to deal with Pakistan's fast bowling.

Agarkar replied that he was sure that Virat Kohli could handle them. But Pakistan's all-rounder Shadab Khan has now responded to Agarkar's statement. He emphasised that what really matters is what happens on the field, not what people say before or after a game.

Kohli was a key part of India's victory over Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup league-stage match. The famous batter almost won the game for his team all by himself. Fans are excited to see how Kohli does in the upcoming Asia Cup, but Shadab thinks that we won't really know what happens until that day.

"Tell you what, you depend on a day. Main ya koi aur, unki taraf se koi aisa bol de, to bolne se kuch nahi hota, kuch change nahi hota. It all depends on what happens that day.

Anyone from my side or their side can say whatever they want. It doesn't matter either way. In response to a reporter's question, Shadab said, "We won't know what the truth is until the match happens."

Since 2019, the only time Virat Kohli has played Pakistan is in T20Is. Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Mohammad Hasnain, and Shahnawaz Dahani are all very good fast bowlers, but he has scored an amazing total of 158 runs off 110 balls against them.

It's important to note that Kohli has only been out of the game once, and that was by the great Shaheen Afridi in the 2021 T20 World Cup, right after he hit the big milestone of 50 runs.

Shadab was one of the most important players on the Pakistan team. He was a big reason why they beat Afghanistan 3-0 in a game, making him one of the most important players on the team. Pakistan also moved to the top of the ICC ODI Rankings after this great win.

But their job against Afghanistan isn't done yet. They now have to focus on the Asia Cup, which everyone is looking forward to. Pakistan's first game will be against Nepal on August 30.
