A tweet from a bogus Virat Kohli account went viral after the post stated that the Indian batsman is inviting Pakistan cricketers to a house party.
Since the Pakistan cricket team landed in Hyderabad earlier this month, Indian fans have been eager to show their support for the Men in Green.
"I warmly welcome the Pakistan Cricket Team to my country after a 7-year absence. I will host a party for my friends, especially Shadab, at my home." "I love you all and will always spread love and joy," stated the popular Tweet.
However, it has already been revealed that the account is not Virat Kohli's official account, and no such party involving Pakistan cricketers is planned for the near future. The September 27 tweet caused quite a stir on social media, but few realised that it was not from Virat Kohli's official account.

The bogus account even had the same bio as Virat Kohli's actual account, as well as the same profile photo, leading some fans to believe it was Virat Kohli's genuine handle.
Kohli has a great relationship with the Pakistan cricketers, as witnessed on camera numerous times, but he did not invite them to his residence during, and especially during, the World Cup.
