Watch: Hardik Pandya Stuns World's Top-ranked ODI Batter Babar Azam With a Terrific Delivery

In Monday's India vs. Pakistan match at the Asia Cup 2023 in Colombo, India's Hardik Pandya bowled a perfect ball that got rid of Babar Azam, who was the best ODI batter in the world.

Imam-ul-Haq, the first batsman for Pakistan, was knocked out by a perfect ball from Jasprit Bumrah earlier in the game. Pakistan captain Babar Azam came in at no. 3, but a stunning ball from right-arm pacer Pandya in the 11th over ended his stay.

To be fair, the comments show that it was a delivery that surprised everyone, and even the best batter in the world couldn't hit it.

Pandya pitched the delivery outside off and got the ball to swing in quickly and alarmingly. Before Babar could bring his bat down, the ball snuck through the gap and hit the off stump, making the India all-rounder and his partner Virat Kohli very happy.

Babar went back when he got 10 out of 24.

Early on, it was Jasprit Bumrah who gave Babar problem. He got the ball to swing often and beat Babar on the outside edge more than once.

Babar hasn't done well against India in ODIs, and Pandya's play only made things worse. In seven games, Babar has only scored 168 runs. The 28-year-old has a great 58.47 average in ODIs, but it drops to 28 when he plays India.

Pakistan put India in to bat first in their first Super Four match. In 50 overs, India scored a huge 356/2.

At the R Premadasa Stadium, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul were on fire. Each of them hit a century, and they beat the Pakistan bowlers with ease.

Kohli scored 122 runs without being out, his 47th century in ODIs. He did this by hitting nine fours and three sixes.

Rahul, on the other hand, scored 111* off 106 with the help of 12 fours and two sixes in his first IPL 2023 match since he hurt his thigh.

Kohli and Rahul put together 231 runs and set a new record for the most runs scored by an Indian pair for any wicket in an ODI against Pakistan.
