Our hotel reservation for October 15th [the initial match date] is still valid, but we're being charged approximately four-five times the average price to rebook from October 13.
The cost of World Cup tickets has not been released, but according to reports, it could range between INR 500 and 10000.
The main event is expected to begin on October 5, with New Zealand taking against England in the tournament opener at Ahmedabad's Narendra Modi stadium.
The eagerly anticipated India-Pakistan match will take place on October 14 in Ahmedabad. Due to the Indian festival season, the BCCI recently changed the schedule for the nine World Cup matches.
