KL Rahul Resumes Wicketkeeping Ahead Of India Comeback. Watch Viral Video
KL Rahul has provided a significant update on his recovery and may have even hinted that he may return to India soon. A clip of Rahul practising his batting skills has gone viral online. A few weeks ago, he did begin batting, but the practise was brief and the batsman was not even wearing cricketing equipment.
Rahul has resumed both wicketkeeping and proper batting in the practise nets. The wicketkeeper-batsman appears to be giving his all while keeping wicket, a sign that he is healthy and available for selection.
Rahul is expected to return for India at the upcoming Asia Cup 2023, which begins on August 30. If he is well enough to play, Rahul will be India's first choice wicketkeeper. Rahul has had more success in the 50-over format, where he also keeps wickets, than in the other two formats combined.
The Men in Blue will benefit greatly from having Rahul back to full health for the upcoming Asia Cup and World Cup competitions. If Rahul can't make the World Cup due to injury, then Sanju Samson or Ishan Kishan will replace him.
Kishan and Samson might replace Rahul if he can't make the team. The BCCI will announce their decision on Rahul when they announce their Asia Cup roster.
