Naveen Ul Haq's LSG Teammate Kyle Mayers Opens Up On Fight With Virat Kohli In IPL 2023

Naveen Ul Haq's LSG Teammate Kyle Mayers Opens Up On Fight With Virat Kohli In IPL 2023

VIrat Kohli is known as one of the most emotional players on the pitch. The former Indian captain wears his heart on his shirt every time he steps onto the pitch, whether he's playing for India or Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. During the West Indies tour, Kohli was very chill.

Fans got to see the 34-year-old dance on the pitch, do a lot of funny things and even eat snacks on the ground.

During the IPL 2023 season, Kohli's fight with Naveen-ul-Haq and Gautam Gambhir became one of the most talked-about moments in the league's history. In May, Kohli, Naveen, and Gambhir got into a fight on the pitch during a match between RCB and Lucknow Super Giants. After the fight, BCCI told all three of them to behave better.

Kyle Mayers was one of the players on the pitch when the events happened. Fans who paid close attention will remember that after Kohli got into a fight with Naveen, he was seen having a heated conversation with Mayers.

Then Gambhir got involved when he took Mayers with him while he was talking to Virat. The Delhi-born pair then came face to face, reminding fans a lot of when they first fought in 2013.

Mayers was recently asked about Virat's anger, and the West Indies star said that Virat's confidence and fire show that he is willing to do whatever it takes to get his team over the line.

"It's great, because sometimes you need to get back at the other team with anything you can. Being bold is always a good thing because it shows guts and a desire to help your team win, Mayers said in a video that was shared by Fancode before the second T20I between India and West Indies.

Virat isn't playing in the current five-match series because the BCCI decided to rest him before the Asia Cup in 2023. Mayers was asked to choose between Kohli and Rohit Sharma which wicket was the most "precious," and he chose Virat.

"I think Kohli is the best player in all three formats, so any bowler would want to get rid of Kohli," Mayers said.
