Rinku Singh Makes His Way To 'Kaun Banega Crorepati'. Abhishek Bachchan, Saiyami Kher Asked Question On India Player

The world noticed Uttar Pradesh-born Rinku Singh's ball-striking skill when the fast bowler hammered five sixes in a row against Gujarat Titans' left-arm pacer Yash Dayal to help Kolkata Knight Riders win an impassable game at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad during the Indian Premier League 2023.

It was no mean feat, as very few batters in baseball history have accomplished something of such monumental proportions, and his historic act was recently featured on the popular Indian TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati - the Hindi counterpart of the show 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'

The cast of the recently released Hindi film Ghoomer, which stars Abhishek Bachchan and Saiyami Kher, appeared on the newest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, which aired on Friday, August 18.

During the show, host Amitabh Bachchan addressed a question on Rinku's heroics from the 2023 IPL.

"Which Kolkata Knight Riders batsman hit five sixes in a row in the last over of a match in the 2023 IPL?" said the question. Andre Russell, Rinku Singh, Nitish Rana, and Venkatesh Iyer were among the candidates.

Rinku's batting stock skyrocketed following his spectacular knock against the Titans.

During the IPL 2023, the southpaw made 474 runs for Kolkata with a strike rate of 149.53 and an excellent average of 59.25, including four half-centuries.

He was rewarded for his outstanding performances and made his T20I debut for India against Ireland on Friday, August 18 at The Village in Malahide. He has also been included to India's squad for the Asian Games in Hangzhou.

Though he did not bat in his first game, which India won by two runs (DLS method), he may have another chance soon with two games remaining on the tour.
