Rohit Sharma Is 'Looking Foward' To 2024 T20 World Cup, Drops Major Hint On T20 Future | Watch
Team India skipper Rohit Sharma hinted about his participation in the T20 World Cup 2024. Sharma is one of the veteran players who would be missing from India's T20I team for about nine months.
He captained the Men in Blue in the T20 World Cup in 2022, and the side advanced to the last four in Australia under his leadership. With the 50-over World Cup coming, Sharma, Virat Kohli, and KL Rahul are still missing from the national team's shortest format.
Furthermore, there have been rumours about how long Sharma will play the format. However, the 36-year-old has recently spoken on his participation in the T20 World Cup 2024. During a recent event in the United States, Sharma noted that everyone in the country is enthusiastic about the competition, and the squad is looking forward to it.
"There is another reason to come here (in the United States) than just going and having fun." Because you are aware that the World Cup is approaching. The T20 World Cup will be held in this region of the world in June. So I'm sure everyone is ecstatic. So, sure, we're looking forward to it," Sharma remarked in a video that went viral.
