Shubman Gill, who open the innings for team India, spent his 24th birthday with his teammates on the Indian cricket team. Kuldeep Yadav, who is also on his team, posted a video of the cake-cutting ceremony on social media.

The India spinner also posted a picture of Shubman's face with cake all over it. On the film, the rising star could be seen cutting the cake while his teammates stood around him. Ishan Kishan, who is a close friend of Shubman, was seen setting up the ceremony for cutting the cake.

In the Indian team, smashing the cake in the face of the birthday boy is almost a tradition these days. We've seen this happen to players like MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma, among others, over the years. Last Friday, it was Shubman's turn to get cake all over him.
