Tri-colour surprise in India's ICC World Cup 2023 jersey, internet calls it a masterstroke

Tri-colour surprise in India's ICC World Cup 2023 jersey, internet calls it a masterstroke

With only two weeks to go, things got a little more exciting for the ICC World Cup 2023. The ICC released the song for this year's World Cup, which will be held in India, on Wednesday. 'Dil Jashn Bole', the national song, got mixed reviews on social media. A few hours later, Adidas, who makes cricket gear for India, came up with their own anthem for the team. India is trying to win its third ODI World Cup, and the song "Impossible Nahi Ye Sapna, 3 Ka Dream Hai Apna" is a part of their journey.

In 1983, Kapil Dev led India to their first ODI World Cup win. In 2011, MS Dhoni ended a long wait by giving India their second ODI World Cup victory. In the meantime, India won the 2007 World Cup, but this time it was a T20 tournament.

Indian leader Rohit Sharma, superstar Virat Kohli, vice-captain Hardik Pandya, youngster Shubman Gill, pacers Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, and spinner Kuldeep Yadav are all in the Adidas anthem.

"1983 - the spark. 2011 - the glory.

2023 - the dream.

Impossible nahi yeh sapna, #3kaDream hai apna," BCCI tweeted.

Not only did the video show India's World Cup jersey, but it also had a catchy rap with a message to end their long wait to win an ICC title.

Indian teams will have three-color bands at the 2023 World Cup

The India team's shirt had a big change for the Asia Cup that ended not long ago. Now there are three Indian colours instead of the three white bands on the shoulder. In the video, Rohit, Kohli, and other people were wearing jerseys with orange, white, and green bands on the shoulders.

Many people on the Internet thought Adidas's move was brilliant, and the three-color stripes on India's World Cup shirt made it look even better. Indian football jerseys from the Asia Cup will also have other changes made to them. ICC only lets the team's name go in the middle of the jersey, so there will be no Dream 11 sign during the World Cup.

Indian is one of the favourites to win the ODI World Cup, even though they haven't won an ICC prize since the Champions Trophy in 2013. That's mostly because they have a good team, have been playing well lately, and are used to playing at home. India did a great job getting ready for the event by winning the Asia Cup an amazing eighth time.

The two-time ODI World Cup winners will play their first game against Australia in Chennai on October 8. England and New Zealand will play the first game of the tournament in Ahmedabad. It will be a repeat of the final from the previous event.
