Update: Kiwi Skipper Kane Williamson gears up for international comeback, Watch

Kane Williamson, the former captain of New Zealand, hurt his knee in the first game of the IPL 2023 between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. He is now getting ready to play for his country again.

Williamson won't be able to play in the ODI World Cup in India in 2023 because scans showed that he tore an anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and needed surgery.

Williamson joined the New Zealand team's training camp at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui once he was well enough to do so.

Williamson can be seen batting in the nets, practising catching, and doing some fitness routines in a film shared by Cricket New Zealand. He also talks about his return to cricket.
