Virat Kohli Denies news on social media earnings, said this is not true

Former Indian captain Virat Kohli issued a clarification on Saturday, August 12th, regarding reports about his earnings from his official Instagram account. According to Hopper HQ, a social media marketing solutions platform, Kohli was reported to be the third-richest sportsperson on Instagram and the sole Indian among the top 25 global personalities.

Referring to the Instagram Rich List, it was stated that Kohli earns an impressive sum of over Rs 11.45 crore per post. However, Kohli countered the claim by stating that the news about his social media earnings is inaccurate.

Taking to Twitter, Kohli expressed, "While I am appreciative and thankful for all that I've received in life, the circulating news about my earnings from social media is untrue."

Kohli frequently shares images and videos from his everyday life on his Instagram, including moments from his training sessions and time spent with his wife Anushka Sharma, whom he married in December 2018.

Currently on a break, Kohli is absent from India's ongoing five-match T20I series in the West Indies. He is expected to return for India's participation in the Asia Cup 2023, slated to commence later this month in Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Recently, Kohli participated in the Test and ODI series against the West Indies. Although he did not bat in the first ODI, he remained on the sidelines for the second and third matches of the series.

Kohli has the opportunity to become the fastest player to reach 13,000 runs in ODI cricket, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's record. Additionally, he is anticipated to play a significant role in India's campaign in the upcoming World Cup, set to begin on October 5th.
