'Breach of contract…': Virat Kohli's Instagram story angers BCCI bosses, India cricketers get ‘verbal’ warning: Report

On Thursday, Virat Kohli posted an Instagram story that prompted outrage, as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) branded it a 'breach of contract agreement' and cautioned players not to expose such confidential information on social media.

The Indian squad is undergoing a six-day preparation camp at Alur near Bengaluru ahead of the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2023.

The training started on Thursday, and Kohli posted a story on Instagram the first day, stating, "The happiness of finishing the Yo Yo test between the dreaded cones." 17.2 done."

"Players have been verbally advised to avoid posting any confidential information on social media platforms." They can upload images during training, but posting a score violates the contract agreement," a BCCI official told Indian Express.

Kohli was not the only player to take the yo-yo test on Thursday; others did as well to gauge their fitness level.

According to the Indian Express, players who did not participate in the three-match T20I series against the West Indies were urged to adhere to the 13-day regimen. They will next be subjected to a full bodily examination, including a blood test.

Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, and Prasidh Krishna, who were part of the Ireland trip, were among the 15 members of the Asia Cup squad who arrived at the camp on the first day.

India will compete in the continental event with a full team beginning on August 30. With the return of KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Bumrah to the ODI squad, the Rohit Sharma-led side is one of the favourites to win the tournament in Sri Lanka.
