Rinku Singh was on fire for Team India against Nepal on Tuesday (October 3) during the first quarterfinal match of the Asian Games 2023.

In the opening Asian Games 2023 quarterfinal clash with Nepal on Tuesday, October 3, Rinku Singh fired up for Team India.

During a match at Hangzhou's Pingfeng Campus Cricket Field, the 25-year-old middle-order left-hander managed to score 37 runs off of just 15 balls without giving up. Throughout his time at the wicket, he hit two fours and four sixes.

Of those six boundaries, four were hit by Abinash Bohara in the last over of the Indian innings.

Rinku, who batted at No. 6, hit a four on the first ball and a six on the second delivery in the last over of the Indian innings. On the third ball, he struck a four once more, then took a single on the fourth. On the fifth delivery, Bohara bowled a wide ball, which allowed Rinku and Shivam Dube to grab a run each.

The hero of the Kolkata Knight Riders struck a further maximum on the fifth ball to push India's score to 200, and he also claimed a double on the final ball to help the team score 202 runs in 20 overs despite losing four wickets.

After Yashasvi Jaiswal was out of the game on the second ball of the 17th over of the Indian innings, Rinku reached the crease.

Similar to Rinku, Jaiswal was also in form against Nepal. The left-handed opening batsman, who is 21 years old, became the youngest Indian player to reach 100 runs in Twenty20 Internationals. In addition to hitting eight fours and seven sixes while he was at the crease, he scored 100 runs off of 49 balls.
