World Cup 2023: Team India Ex Star Shikhar Dhawan Trolls Pakistan's Fielding During Warm-up Game Against Australia

World Cup 2023: Team India Ex Star Shikhar Dhawan Trolls Pakistan's Fielding During Warm-up Game Against Australia

World Cup 2023: Interestingly, Dhawan's video of the incident went beyond a single Pakistani fielding blunder during the practise match.

Despite missing out on a spot in India's squad for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023, Shikhar Dhawan appears to be keeping his spirits up, according to his new social media post.
While watching Pakistan's warm-up match against Australia at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, Dhawan couldn't help but laugh at the Pakistani fielders' comedic errors. He went on social media and posted a video of the occurrence with a humorous caption.

Notably, the footage of the incident posted by Dhawan was not merely a one-off fielding error in a warm-up play. Several such situations occurred throughout the warm-up game, bringing the emphasis back on Pakistan's fielding shortcomings.

The one that Dhawan mentioned occurred in the 23rd over of Australia's innings, when Haris Rauf produced a short delivery. While Marnus Labuschagne was playing it towards the square leg zone, a miscommunication between Pakistan's fielders Mohammed Wasim Jr. and Mohammad Nawaz caused the ball to cross the boundary.

Pakistan will prepare for their World Cup campaign against the Netherlands in the ICC Men's World Cup 2023 after their final warm-up match against Australia on October 6. Meanwhile, Australia will play India in their World Cup opener in Chennai's MA Chidambaram Stadium, which will also be India's first match.

The event will begin on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad in a rematch of the 2019 finals, with defending champions England facing runners-up New Zealand.

In the round-robin stage, each team will play every other team once, with the top four teams advancing to the semifinals.
