'Humein Iska Jawab Chahiye!': Ishan Kishan Hilariously Grills New Comer Tilak Varma on His Tattoos; Watch Viral Video

When Tilak Varma made his T20I start for India earlier this week, it had been almost 14 months since his first IPL match for Mumbai Indians. Everyone has been very impressed with Tilak's performances in the last two IPL seasons, and he is now trying to do the same at the international level. In his first match, he made quite an impact.

India didn't beat West Indies in the first T20I on Thursday, but Tilak made a good start to his India career with an exciting 22-ball 39 that included two fours and three beautiful sixes.

In a conversation with his India and IPL partner Ishan Kishan, the 20-year-old said he will be nervous for his first international match, but he plans to play to his skills.

"West Indies is a great T20 team. My plan is to play to my skills and keep things simple. This is my first TV show, so I want to do my best. I'll be worried, but I still want to do my best.

During practise, I told Rahul sir that it was okay if I lost my wicket while doing my best, as shown in a video shared by BCCI.

Tilak made 397 runs in 14 games in his first IPL season, which was the second most for his team after Ishan's 418. He showed that it wasn't a mistake when he scored 343 runs in 11 innings earlier this year.

"There is pressure to do well in the first year of IPL. You know that you have to prove yourself to get more chances, and I played with that in mind. Every player wants to play for India someday, but I wasn't thinking about that at the time. "They only called me after I played well," Tilak said.

Ishan then talked about how many tattoos Tilak has and said in a funny way, "Humein jawab chahiye! (We want to know)"

"I've wanted a tattoo since I was a kid, but you couldn't get one back then. So I asked my teacher what I should do. He told me to keep my mind on the goal, hit a certain level, and then go for it.Tilak thought back to the first time he heard about his India call-up.
