Janine used to be a cheerleader for Kallis when he played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Janine worked as a cheerleader for the three-time IPL champions Chennai Super Kings during the 2009 season.

Thus, when Kallis used to get out in the IPL and his sister applauded his brother's dismissal, it must have been an awkward occasion.
