Jasprit Bumrah suffers injury scare against Sri Lanka, fans have heart in their mouth

Team India is slowly getting back into its ODI groove as the Asia Cup 2023 goes on. Three of the Men in Blue's best players, KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, and Jasprit Bumrah, were injured in the weeks leading up to the Asia Cup.

There are still worries about Iyer's health, but Bumrah and Rahul have done well since they came back. During the Asia Cup 2023 Super Fours match on September 12 in Colombo, the pacer had a small injury scare.

Bumrah bowled well against Pakistan on the reserve day, which was 24 hours ago. He bowled the first over against Sri Lanka, but his ankle turned on the fourth delivery, which was a small setback.

Bumrah was shocked when something happened out of the blue. After a few minutes of stretching and routines, he was ready to bowl again.

Bumrah gave up a boundary and threw a ball because he was suddenly startled by the injury scare. But he went back to being the old Bumrah in the next over and sent Pathum Nissanka back to the field. He then got rid of Kusal Mendis in four overs.

Then, Mohammed Siraj took Dimuth Karunaratne's wicket, which was a big one. Sri Lanka lost three wickets in the powerplay, and India needed a good start with the ball badly after being all out for only 213.

Dhananjaya de Silva and Dunith Wellalage have helped Sri Lanka get back in the game by putting up 50 runs together. India still needs to get rid of four wickets, but the game is getting interesting.
