Watch - "Pagal Hai Kya": Irritated Rohit Sharma's Conversation With Shubman Gill Has Internet Talking

A video of Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill has gone popular on social media ahead of India's Asia Cup 2023 final match against Sri Lanka. The pair can be seen outside a lift conversing about something in the video.

Following a brief conversation, Rohit was heard saying, "Nahi aise nhi hoga, pagal hai kya." (No, it will not happen in this manner. "Are you insane?" The India captain's reaction has the internet buzzing, with fans attempting to figure out what prompted Rohit to say that to Gill.

"Really know what Gill asked Rohit?" one user asked. "Yeh koi Prank karwa raha hai (someone is playing a prank)," another user commented.

India will face Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup final on Sunday, a critical momentum-builder ahead of next month's ODI World Cup.

The cricketing titans have a combined total of 13 Asian crowns, and Sri Lanka has a history of sneaking into the tournament's final, much to the chagrin of supporters eager for a clash between archrivals India and Pakistan.

Bangladesh halted India's unblemished run in the 50-over tournament by defeating them by six runs in the final Super Four match on Friday.

Shubman Gill got 121 but India failed in their chase of 266 in Colombo, where the final will also be held on Sunday.

"I don't think it has broken our momentum," Gill said after the tight setback.

"We played some good cricket." It happens on these wickets from time to time. I was prepared and should have finished the game."

Gill stated that winning India's seventh Asia Cup championship would give them "confidence" ahead of the World Cup, which begins on October 5 in India.

India started with a washed-out encounter against Pakistan in Pallekele, where their fast bowlers rattled their top order and knocked them out for 266 in the only innings available due to rain.

The big guns Virat Kohli and returning batsman KL Rahul responded with centuries in their following match against Babar Azam's squad, allowing Pakistan to be defeated by 228 runs.

India then held off a valiant Sri Lankan chase to secure their place in the final.
